The rockets included in our RocketBox™ are the next evolution in model rockets. Modular, durable, reusable, and easy to construct, these rockets remove the drawbacks of traditional model rockets so that you and your students get to flight faster and more safely.

These rockets feature:
•Easy, Tool-less Construction
Traditional model rockets require cutting wood components to shape with blades, precisely aligning the parts, and then carefully gluing them together. You have to wait until the glue dries to fly. Even then, the rocket may not fly safely if you didn’t get the parts aligned exactly right! Our rockets eliminate these concerns because they can be built in seconds with nothing but your hands. Their components have been designed in such a way that they can only be built one way– the right way. No more worrying about blades, construction precision, or waiting for glue to dry!
•Modular, Reusable Design
Traditional model rockets are built once and then flown. Their configurations are fixed and they can’t be rebuilt without tearing the rocket apart. Our rockets’ innovative design allows them to be disassembled without tools. This means that many users get the experience of building a real rocket! You no longer have to buy a new set of rockets every time you want to have students build them. We’ve also designed them with reusability and durability in mind; these rockets will last for many launches. You’ll see further savings if a components fails because you can replace a single component rather than having to replace the entire rocket.
•Easy, Safe Recovery
When used with an “A”-class motor, these rockets reach a reasonable altitude where they can still be seen in most lighting conditions. This, combined with their bright colors, makes them easy to track and then find on the ground. Although we recommend the use of a streamer recovery system, the rocket functions well with tumble recovery, allowing for recovery even if the streamer fails.
•More Flight Opportunities
When used with an “A”-class motor, these rockets perform well under all weather conditions allowable for flight as described in the NAR’s Model Rocket Safety Code, including winds up to 20mph! This gives you the most flight opportunities possible, allowing you more flexibility, and keeps you from losing rockets.
•Spacious, Ported Payload Bay
These rockets feature a payload bay that is altimeter-ready within the nose cone. This has been designed to fit small electronic altimeters like those made by Jolly Logic and Estes. These allow you to gather a variety of high-fidelity data from your launches, opening up new experimental and analysis possibilities.

In the spirit of open source, we are pleased to offer the digital rocket model files to you for free! The other materials on this page document how we calibrate our printers and apply quality control (QC) to our product.

Yes, we use these exact same files to print our rockets, but 3D printing has many factors that directly impact the finished product. Applying our processes to the exact same files on similar printers may yield a vastly different result. Make sure the safety of yourself and others always comes first.
